How do i go about getting suboxone treatment?!

Question: How do i go about getting suboxone treatment.?
Ok first off, Id like to add that unless your offering helpful advice, DONT ANSWER! I will report anyone who calls me drug seeking. This is called Yahoo answers not a bunch of people who are on their high horse, busy bodies. I have a chronic pain condition. I have Fibromyalgia and RA & also chronic fatique. I was in a car accident 10 yrs ago, that i believe initiated the Fibro. I also fell 6 ft onto concrete 3 wks ago & was injured quite bad. I currently take tramadol, 2 vicoden 5 mgs, paxil & a thyroid med.

I try to take hot baths, & tried Capsasin Hp, i liked it but when i went to sleep & woke up my legs felt like they were on fire. So i use Icy Hot, Aspercreme, massage therapy & am going to do water therapy.

I went to a chiropractor who said i needed extensive work, I dont have insurance, so this is not an option. My dad was cut off his vicodin after 5 yrs, when his doc moved. Even though they said his back is so bad they were surprised he wasnt in a wheelchair. I am thinkin of trying Neurontin. But anyway the Q is are u allowed to get on Suboxone if you are not a hard core narcotic user. I am not addicted, & dont get withdrawals. I have used more than 10 mg of norco. How do you get started on Suboxone treatment.? A DOC.? Do people take Sub for chronic pain.?.? & finally does anyone know a pain clinic in the Cleveland area who takes no insurance patients.?.?.? thank you! And again no stupid comments, if you have never lived in my shoes, you have no idea what my everyday life is like. NO PREACHINGHealth Question & Answer

You would get started on it at a pain center, which manages what you are given and any progress that is good or any that worsens. I do have some ideas what you are going through because my wife has a multitude of conditions, one of which is Fibromyalgia. I don't know if anyone has ever explained to you exactly what Fibromyalgia is, but one day on TV a Doctor explained it this way, and I then understood why my wife would hurt even by a flick of a finger anywhere on her body. He said lay out a piece of steak, and see the white streaks in that meat, those are gristle and they become hard with fibromyalgia. My wife used to swim a lot at our community indoor pool, but that stopped when something happened to the heater because the water was to cold for her. But while she was swimming she always felt great afterwards. I had a whirlpool tub installed and she started to use it, which feels great for her. She takes Neurontin 300 mg's twice a day, she takes MS Contin 45 Mg's three times a day,(Doesn't come in 45 so she takes a 30 Mg and a 15 Mg's three times a day) She takes Percocet 5/325 Mg's four times a day. If she took none of these, she wouldn't be able to walk. Stay away from the Chiropractor's because there is nothing they can do for Fibromyalgia, except maybe some microdine treatments. Your best defense right now is excercise in water, warm water. Keep up with the hot aths while you can still get in and out of one, rub Aspercreme or other pain gels wherever it hurts. At our Pharmacy they have what is called Perform. It comes in a cream and a roll on. They sell it at Walmarts and it does help her for a while, but you can use it as often as you like. It has a smell at first, but quickly dissapates. I do know what your everyday life is because it lives in my home, I see it everyday when my wife just tries to get up from a sitting position, and yells with pain. I wish for you the very best Kellie and I wish I could tell you more. I just wish that someone can find a cure for this awful condition. I am sure out there somewhere some organization or the local Health Dept, can help you. Just get on the phone and start enquiring, call the state if need be, they are probably the ones who put you in your predicament. Good luck to you.Health Question & Answer

There is Suboxone treatment walk-throughs available for brave individuals like yourself. I am not sure where you reside in the Cleveland area, but if you call anonymously, a rehabilitation hospital, they may direct you. There are several state funded hospitals in every area that will work with you to obtain treatment without insurance. They work on a sliding fee scale.

Inevitably, the protocols described here will be adapted to fit the individual needs and strengths of each physician's practice.

There are treatment forms and handouts included here are offered as examples, with the assumption that they, too, will be customized to reflect the needs of each individual practice.

The clinical pathway for office-based treatment of opioid dependence with Suboxone can be broken down into 6 phases:

Pretreatment Screening
Intake
Induction
Stabilization
Maintenance
Medically Supervised Withdrawal.

Good luck to you and congrats on wanting to help yourself.Health Question & Answer

Suboxone is an opioid inhibitor. My fiance takes it and it has saved his life.He used various pain pills and heroin for 25 years and he has been clean for 3 years because of suboxone. If you are not addicted to opiates, suboxone will not help you.It cuts cravings and causes opiates to have no effect on you if you take them while you are on suboxone.also,it is extremely expensive. At his starting dose(40mg) it cost us $800 a week. Now he is on 8mg and it costs about $400 a month.Talk to a doctor and they will better explain to you suboxones uses and see if it would help you.It doesn't sound like you are addicted to opiates so it is probably not going to be helpful to you.Have you taken Lyrica.?My aunt has FM and it has helped her immensely.Good luck and I hope you find something to help you with your pain.Health Question & Answer
