I work for St. Johns county Marine Rescue so you can take my answers as being legit. For a jellyfish sting DO NOT!!!! put fresh water on it all that will do is prolong the sting, you need to put salt water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water, other than that there isn't much to treat them. and for a stingray you can tell if it is a stingray sting because there will be a mark that looks either like a J or a T thats it nothing else. if thats your case soak the area in the hottest water you can stand for 30 minutes and then take it out and do it again in 30 min, and you should be good to go.
