Answers:
You should see a doctor, preferably a sports medicine or orthopedic specialist.

It could be a number of things, like a stress fracture , plantar fasciitis, a heel spur, or an Achilles tendon injury. Since it's been going on for 2 months and hasn't resolved on it's own, it's unlikely to, so it's important that you seek medical attention for it. It's likely just going to get worse over time without proper treatment.

In the meanwhile, RICE it and see if it improves any.

Rest - avoid running on it, or at least stop running/walking on it as soon as it starts causing you any pain or discomfort.
Ice - whenever it hurts apply ice for 15-30 minutes at a time every 45-60 min.
Compression - you can try wrapping your foot in an ace bandage.
Elevate - whenever it bothers you, try keeping it elevated above the level of your heart. You can accomplish this by laying down and stacking pillows under your foot.

Try taking ibuprofen to reduce swelling and pain.Health Question & Answer

There is a tough band called the achiiles tendon that goes from the bottom portion of the heel that you're talking about to the higher part of the heel. You should go to a physiotherapist, and they would be able to assist you in getting better.Health Question & Answer
