Question: Boyfriend's Bad Hygiene.?
Okay, first, please tell me I'm not the only one who has a bf with poor hygiene. I feel like a nag, because I'm always on him about stuff, like brushing and flossing his teeth, putting on deodorant, and washing his hair. Well, now I found out he never washes his face. We took a shower together and he didn't wash his face.. I asked him if he wanted to use my face wash and he said he never washes his face. He said sometimes he uses hand sanitizer on it. He also said on days he doesn't shower he uses hand sanitizer on his body and he thinks that is good enough. also, he doesn't believe in wash cloths... he thinks the bar of soap against the body does the trick, but it's not getting into cracks and creases, and i think it is clogging his pores that way. Please someone give me some good evidence so I can show this to him someday and prove what he is doing is bad.. he doesn't believe me. Thank you. Health Question & Answer

If he's old enough and big enough to be swapping body fluids, and he hasn't figured out that good hygiene is a necessity- I doubt anything you could say to him or show him will change his ways. Usually this kind of soap allergy is something a fellow's mother takes care of when he's about 8 or so. Since he obviously didn't pay much attention to her, the odds are not good you will have any better luck. I suppose you could try "no decent shower, no nookey", but really I should think you ought to just consider throwing this stinky fish back into the ocean. You might also give thought to a sobering fact that if he won't even wash his own container, he's probably not too concerned with where it's been or who it's been with either. I wouldn't want to touch him without gloves on, because the dirt he's collected is the least of the worries. The only other thing I can think of to suggest is bathing him daily yourself. One time with a scrubbie and a little enthusiasm ought to make the point.Health Question & Answer
I think it is time you say good-bye. Bad hygiene is sick. I mean really sick. You can get really sick if he does not keep up on it. I would give him an option. Either he cleans up or see ya later.
