Well, I won't say sleep medicine because that will make you groggy in the morning anyway usually and that's not fun. This may sound stupid, but I know you've heard of people counting sheep. Well, I don't count sheep, but when I can't fall asleep, I do count. Just count from 1-100 as many times as you have to and eventually you'll just fall asleep without realizing it.

Give yourself the same bedtime routine every night. Try and go to bed at around the same time and get up at the same time, then your body will be ready for sleep at around the same time. Your body will expect that it's bedtime.

also, if you exercise sometime during the day, it'll make you more able to sleep at night.

Don't do things in your bed other than sleep. Like don't sit in bed and watch tv or read. If you do, then your body won't always associate your bed with sleeping.

Try not to drink anything with caffeine in it during the evening before you go to bed.

I sleep with the TV on because it bothers me more to sleep in silence, but find what works for you. TV, Radio, CD's, silence, whatever.

Just make sure that you are relaxed and don't have things lingering on your mind that will keep you awake.

You can run around a lot to tire yourself out!!!! But for real, i use ear plugs...I know it sounds weird, but i get a really good night sleep with them. You can get them at Walmart.
