What can anyone recommend for the pain.? My doctor keeps prescribing medicine for arthritis. It seems rather bizarre.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
He prescribes arthritis meds b/c they are anti inflamitory. That will help the cramps. However you need to talk to your doctor about the following...

Birth control: Birth control makes your cramps WAY WAY better and also prevents ovarian cysts.

HPV: have them check for HPV that can cause cervical issues. If you are under 27 ask and get the gardisol shot.

Endometriosis: This could be causing alot of the pain and the cysts. Its a serious thing and to me it sounds like you may have it.

Good luck to you Remember take the pills he gave you and take a hot bath and then relax and put a heating pad on. also drink lots and lots of water it helps the bloating and muscle pain. Excersie is supposed to help too.Health Question & Answer

Ibuprofen is the best pain killer....i would not take medication for arthritis for those symptoms no matter what my doctor said.

it's hard to suggest anything else until you get the cervical & ovarian cyst problems sorted...once that is done - you might not have anymore discomfort. (assuming you are going to be treated for that)...so time will tell. Health Question & Answer

i agree with the first answerer.birth control can really minimize those awful symptoms and can even clear up your skin! Other than that, you can try other stuff like taking a really hot shower,as hot as you can stand it and that should help with the cramps.you can also get a wash rag and soak it in warm water and wring it out so it won't drip and put it on your stomach and that'll help too.
also, you can drink lots of fluids, especially water.it'll clear out your system and drinking water all day helps my period go away faster.
good luck!
i really hope you feel better<3Health Question & Answer

Get a second opinion. It could mean that the cysts are bigger, need to be removed, or that there are other issues that need attention. If your doc is not a GYN I suggest you go that route. No one should have to deal with that kind of pain month to month without a solid answer to what it is and a better form of pain control.Health Question & Answer

You might want to try Mona Vie. Its a super healthy, organic juice drink that makes your body more resistant to disease, helps the imune system and cells along with a number of other things. I mean, its proven to lower cholesterol and blood pressure. -But I have been drinking it for less than a week and I can already see results. Its that time of the month for me right now, and I expect bad cramps a day or so ahead of time. But since drinking the Mona Vie, I didnt get ANY cramps and still havent. It was weird yet surprising and very nice! Oh, and it actually does improve joint and muscle pain too if that really turns out to be the problem :)
