i think i sprained my foot in gym today but my parents wont take me to the doctor. is there a way for me to make my own crutches.?Health Question & Answer

You don't want to use crutches on a sprained ankle...
If you went to the doctor, he most likely wouldn't have given you any and would have told you basically to do strengthening exercises everyday, like writing out the alphabet with your foot, using your ankle. (duh)
I know this because I've sprained my ankle. Actually I did far worse from that. I ripped cartilage from the bone. Twice. When they finally found that out that's when they put me on crutches because from the x-rays it looked like a fracture.
Sprains just hurt. You hurt a muscle, which will heal, but there is absolutely nothing a doctor can do for it other than rap it in an ace bandage to give it more ankle support, and have you not run in gym maybe.
Oh, people don't tend to sprain foots though...I've never heard of that, so I think you mean ankle. If your foot hurt...it still might be your ankle.
You haven't really told us how bad the pain is, but if it hurts so bad you cry or feel like crying when you walk (not out of frustration...out of pain) then go to the doctor.
Actually you should probably go to the doctor and make sure you didn't get a hairline fracture or anything...if you really like snapped a bone in half or something you would know.

just take it easy. if its a sprain, not using your foot (like using crutches) will make it stiffen up and make it more painful.

so just grit your teeth and walk on it, it should be fine in a day or two.
