Question: My ear keeps "closing" so I can't hear. I hear a constant ringing noise. It'll sometimes pop but not for long..?
i get swimmer's ear really bad so I use the liquid to help that but my ear still seems to have the same problems as swimmer's ear even when i haven't been submerged in water like a pool. I can't stand not cleaning my ears so I use Q-tips which I'm aware aren't good for your ears but i don't have an alternative. Health Question & Answer

Try sleeping on that side and see if any water is on the pillow in the morning. Sometimes swimming products do not remove all the water in your ear and this can lead to headaches and ringing sounds in your ear. I dislike using anything that is man made such as swimmers ear and will not use any Q-tips in my ears, so I would suggest that you high tail it to the doctors office, or to a specialist and find out what the underlying problem is that is causing this problem for you.

Messing around with an ear infection is not a good thing to do.Health Question & Answer

Do you have jaw pain.?
Headaches.?
Could be TMJ, a very common problem especially among anyone who may be stressed.
You need to go to the drug store and but a ear cleaning kit.
It has a bulb syringe and other things in it and what it does is clean your ear canal's.
Q-tip's push the guck in further causing infection and 'closing' up of the ear.
The ringing is called tinnitus.
I have listed a link that will yell you what the causes and symptoms are of tinnitus.
Sounds to me ( pardon the pun) like you need to see a ear nose and throat specialist.

This is an ear infection. Your inner ear is filled with infection. The popping noise you hear is the tubes in your ears opening up and draining some of the infection. Go to the doctor he will give you antibiotics and ear drops. Should be gone in a couple weeks after that. Nothing to worry about. I get them all the time is why i know about it so well. any questions just ask meHealth Question & Answer
