What can I do for a pulled muscle?!

Question: What can I do for a pulled muscle.?
I'm on the dance/drill team at my school, and I pretty much always pulll my right hamstring, then it gets better, and I pull it again!
Is there anything I can do to help it get better, or prevent it from happening all the time.? Any foods or medicine I can take to make that muscle stronger.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Ice it after practice, go easy on the stretching when it's injured but make sure you don't quit stretching it or it wil become even easier to pull. Work on strengthening that muscle when it's not injured: lunges, weights, get a stretch cord and work on basic leg pushes - lay on your back hook the stretch cord over the bottom of your foot and hold the two sides then press your foot up until it's fully extended at a 90 degree angle from your body, do about 4 sets of 10-15 of those with a cord that feels right daily they should help. also, calcium and bromine might help pill wise (bromine's mainly pineapple extract and very good for muscle pain). Other than that all you can do is rest it and go easy.
Good luck! Health Question & Answer

Well as far as preventing it, Don't stretch it so much or too fast. only stretch within your limits. and as for helping it heal, ahh you just have to rely on time, but icy-hot patches or a heating pad will make it feel better.Health Question & Answer

strech slowly and consistently. dont pull ur leg to the limits. take it easy. motrin for pain, ice for fast healing, stretching to prevent it, and excersise to make it stronger. Health Question & Answer
