Question: Child abdominal pain question.?
my daughter has sharp pains in her stomach about once a day and sometimes she cries and cant finish dinner. I took her multiple times to the doctor and he has sent her to a specialist problem is they cant see her until January! I am trying to find a solution to at least help her pain. I thought about trying to eliminate milk from her diet but I am not sure if it is a good idea.? Any info helpful thanksHealth Question & Answer

I would try removing milk for a few days and if that does not help look at other things that she is eating every day and remove them from her diet one at a time and see if anything changes.

Might be lactose intolerance, consult your pediatrician on suggestions for replacement of lactose in her diet.
Another possible problem, your child might be allergic to something, take her to a physician for a scratch test, and allergy testing.
And lastly, it might be a parasitic problem in your child's gastrointestinal tract.

My friend's daughter had the same problem and I suggested that she could have an ulcer, and sure enough it was! I believe they had to do a stool sample to diagnose the ulcer. Push to have that done. This girl was put on Prevacid and that is supposed to clear the ulcer up completely. She's feeling much better now.Health Question & Answer
