How to remove a wad of cotton stuck in my ear?!
Question: How to remove a wad of cotton stuck in my ear.?
Help! I was cleaning out my ears with a Q-Tip (cotton bud), and the cotton tip is now stuck in my ear!
While doing the routine ear-clean with a Q-Tip, I removed the Q-Tip from my ear and imagine my shockhorror when the cotton tip was missing!
The cotton tip is now stuck in my ear and I can't get it out! Any suggestions in removing it.? Has this happened to anyone before.?
(It doesn't exactly hurt or impair my hearing, but knowing that a bit of cotton is lodged in my ear is somewhat freaky.)Health Question & Answer

You could try filling your ear with water, then lying down on the ear with cotton bud stuck, and it might just come out with the water.
Or you could try getting it with tweezers, or let someone else try with tweezers as they would be able to see what their doing. But try not to push down even further!
If all else fails i think its probably best to see your doctor as he/she would be able to get it out.Health Question & Answer

You need to make an appointment to see the nurse at your local health centre; she should be able to remove it. Alternatively, as it's the weekend ahead, you may want to visit your nearest hospital out patients' department, as the quicker it's dealt with the better. Whatever you do, don't put anything else into your ear, which could just push the cottonwool even further in. By the way, we are warned not to do what you did, but I guess you already know that! leave it alone, and get to a doctors, or hospital, they will take it out, if you do it, you might push it further in and make things worse.
if there is someone else in the house, and you got some thin tweezers, get the other person to pull it out, if they cant see it, you will have to go to the hospital or doctors. i highly reccomend you get a professional to get it out rather then try yourself, or get someone else to. a doctor/nurse will be better. it's very difficult to get out without pushing it further.

it dose happen a lot. you should go to hospital, they will just take it out with some specuial tweezer things. trust me, dont risk it and jsut go, it's not a waste of time, and they wont say anything, it's there job and they will just pull it out.Health Question & Answer

depending how far into your ear it is you could try very carefully taking it out with tweezers failing that go to your doctor or local hospitalHealth Question & Answer

My Doctor done it in 1 minute with warm water in a syringe . It just flushed out
