Question: Where is the best (least harmful) place to be shot in the torso.?
If you had to take a shot in the upper body, where would it cause the least long term or permanent damage to be hit with a 9mm pistol at a pretty close range (like a robber shooting a cashier from across the counter).?

Don't think about this. It will drive you crazy! Most robbers are not looking to shoot anyone. They just want the money so they can buy their drugs.
Just give them the money and keep cool. It's not your money and there's no reason to die or even just take a bullet. Take a mental note of the person and give them the money. This way when the cops show up to take your statement you have plenty of info to help them find the robber. Instead of the coroner or an ambulance show up.
