I have been waking up with a swollen eye recently.?!

Question: I have been waking up with a swollen eye recently..?
Yesterday, I woke up with my left eyelid swollen. Not exactly sure why, but it seemed to go away slow throughout the day.
This morning, I woke up with both my eyelids, top and top, left and right eye swollen. I started crying, because I had to go to school like that, which didn't make it any better.

Anything I can do to get rid of it for good.? I've tried a warm wash cloth..and then I've heard cold works better. Polar opposites..which really works (temp. speaking)

Help.? :(Health Question & Answer

Sounds like allergies. Do see your doctor, but I have the same problem and I have to take allergy pills every single day or it just comes back. Get rid of any feather pillows you might have, or old pillows that might be full of dust mites. make sure your room is dusted and vacuumed, This time of year there is a lot of mold, too. If you have a cat or dog, get them out of your room at night.

Warm packs were helping some before I started the pills. Now they hardly ever swell and if they do, its only a tiny bit. Health Question & Answer

Is there something new in your room / bed that is causing a slow aggrevation of an allergy perhaps.? New laundry detergent, an animal getting in your room (pet fur) that wasn't there before, new makeup or something you just bought.?

To me, I'd investigate allergies first...but check w/your doctor....Health Question & Answer
