Am I going through an Oxycodone withdrawal?!

Question: Am I going through an Oxycodone withdrawal.?
I'm 16 years old and about two weeks ago I had ACL reconstruction surgery on my knee. Since then, I have been taking a 10mg dosage of oxycontin approx. every 4 hours for the pain. In the last few days however I haven't had very much pain, so I haven't been taking the oxycontin. My knee isn't hurting very much at all, however I've been having other symptoms like exhaustion, crying (all the time, honestly), and a runny nose. I'm wondering, are these symptoms of withdrawal from the oxycodone.?

Is there anything I can do to feel better.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It's possible you're having withdrawal symptoms. WDs are different for everyone. Some have problems getting off small doses after a couple weeks, others can jump off cold turkey after months and not feel a thing. Flu-like symptoms are not uncommon during withdrawal. You may feel achy, tired, depressed, and have hot and cold flashes. Diarrhea is usually common, as is the runny nose. Take some Imodium if you have the runs. It will also help you feel better generally. Hot baths work wonders for WDs.Health Question & Answer

No, those are not symptoms. You would not have withdrawls from just taking it a few weeks. I was on 20mg every 3 hours for 2 months and had to withdrawl symptoms at all. Withdrawl symptoms for Oxy are fever/chills, vomiting, nauseau, muscle aches, headaches.Health Question & Answer

Pardon me for saying this but your bowel movements are probably the best guide. Opiates constipate you and when you come off your bowels will let you know about it. Health Question & Answer
