Question: What can I do to relieve a pulled muscle.?
I've pulled a muscle in my shoulder and arm and I wanted to know if there's anything I can do to relieve them or speed their recovery.
also, could this apply to any pulled muscle.?

Yes, the treatment of a pulled or strained muscle is pretty much the same. You start by giving the muscle a break as much as you reasonably can. In your case, that means not lifting or moving the arm much, definitely not picking things up or carrying them around. Moist heat applications usually help speed healing by encouraging increased blood flow to the area, and anti-inflammatory/anti-spasmodic drugs like Motrin and Naprosyn are also useful. Those help ease the inflammation and help keep the muscle tissue calm so it can heal faster as well. Otherwise there isn't any magic cure. It's a matter of rest and time really, allowing your body to do the repair and not doing anything to interfere with that process. The more you try to use/move the arm, the longer it takes to repair.
