What kind of leg injury do I have, and how can I help it heal?!


Question: What kind of leg injury do I have, and how can I help it heal.?
I was in dance class and I did splits (with my right leg in front). I've done them many times before with no adverse effects but this time it suddenly felt like everything was being pulled out of my right knee and thigh - it's hard to describe exactly - and for the next few days it hurt to walk or sit down.

It's been a little more than two weeks, and it no longer hurts to walk or sit down, but every time I do anything near splits, or turn out my right leg, it hurts and is pretty much impossible. It's really sore and achy from the back of my knee to part of the way up the back of my thigh. also, when I go running, it's not painful exactly but it feels like my motion is right at the edge of the injury.

I haven't really seen any improvement from a week ago. Do you know what kind of injury this is, or if there's anything I can do to help heal faster.?Health Question & Answer

could be a torn ligament or you could have pulled a muscle tendon. all i have to say is it takes a while to heal, but it has to heal on its own so the best to do is stay off of it as much as possible. but since you haven't given any vivid description than i can't really give an exact answer.Health Question & Answer
