Answers:
well, as usual there are several possible causes of such sensations. One of the most likely is carpal tunnel syndrome. she can be tested for this and then have surgery to correct or she can wear a brace at night which will help to relieve some of the symptoms. My carpal tunnel disappeared when I was on a nerve medication called Lyrica. She needs to see a doctor - start with Your primary and ask for a good neurologist. They will perform some nerve conduction testing and will be able to see where the blockage is. Another possible cause could be circulation - some type of a heart related problem. and a third cause could be nerve compression from her back - a disc(disk.?) anyway - start with your primary care - get it diagnosed right and take it from there. good luckHealth Question & Answer

It's Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I've had it so I know exactly what she's feeling. I had the surgery on both wrists, and about 1 1/2 yrs later I was back to normal. It was the best thing I did. The pain of CTS is terrible, if she can get the surgery, do it. My job caused my problem, a lot of heavy lifting and cake decorating. Any repetitive hand work will cause this. Good luck to her.Health Question & Answer
