Yes I got sucked into trying Proactiv and Im not against it because I know it works for some people but in my case I had an alergic reaction where my face was red itchy and bumpy. Well the itchiness and redness have gone down considerably after one day, but my skin feels horrible!!!! It feels really rough and bumpy. Ive been using TONS of moisterizer and aloe vera to heal it but it still feels really bad. I only used the proactiv 3 times and its been almost 2 days since I stopped. Does anyone know how long it will take to heal and go back to normal.

I would suggest that you stop using aloe vera. I have heard that there is alchohol added to it when bottled, and that will dry out your skin.Keep moisturizing. If this keeps up for much longer see a dermatologist. Try not to put any makeup on if you can help it because that may be drying it out even more. eucerin (sp.?) is a cream my sister used for very dry skin and it helped her, I believe its OTC. It may help you. You could try to call a dermatologist and ask over the phone if they can recommend something. Good luck.Health Question & Answer
I would go to a Dr. it sounds like you have had an allergic reaction to that stuff and you are suffering from inflammation and the worse that could happen is that you get a lot of scabs from the healing of this reaction or break out more I would consult a dermatologist. Health Question & Answer
Try using a anti-itch cream. It'll help with the rash and redness. One like Cortaid 10 may do the trick. It may take a week or so for things to go back to normal. If it doesn't, seek the help of your doctor. Feel better soon!Health Question & Answer
