If you break your thumb or the bone underneath it.....?!

Question: If you break your thumb or the bone underneath it......?
Will they cast it.?.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
usually it depends on how badly you break it.. but usually yes. now a days doctors put it in a soft cast. just the hard fabric (no idea of what its called) that keeps your thumb immobile, then just wrap it in an ace bandage. but if the break is a little bit more sever, they might put it in a plaster or fiberglass cast, or maybe just a braces.
depends on the severity of the break.
hope i helped!!Health Question & Answer

They don't really cast fingers. They splint them. This is something you can pick up at your local walmart. This is to keep your finger from moving and adding support. You can also ice it and alternate ibuprofen and acetominophen (tylenol) for pain. also elevating it and adding ice will help reduce swelling. Health Question & Answer
