Please help to get rid of shin splints ?!


Question: Please help to get rid of shin splints .?
i am 15 and i have shinsplints.i have had them for over a year.it is really annoying because i cant play sports to my maximum.i have try ed lots of things.i have got running shoes and ice them and stretch.please helpHealth Question & Answer

When you have some relief from the splints try this exercise to build up the muscles along the shin.
Put a towel on the floor, with your bare feet use your toes to gather up the towel. Repeat this often until you feel a slight burn, Ice the splint area for 10 minutes after the exercises. Don't try this when you ae already in pain, it does not help with the pain it is a preventative.
Stretches help some people. Again with your shoes off sit an cross your legs so you can reach your toes, pull back on your toes and then push the toes down, in the opposite direction. You can also do this with your legs outstretched. also hang your leg off the bed, point your toes and make the alphabet, both caps and small, with the tip of your toes. Health Question & Answer
