Question: This groin injury is making me fat and frustrated, why won't it go away.?
How much should I be running getting back into shape.? I was playing a lot of sports but sustained a pretty bad groin injury.

I went for my first run in about 3 months and I could feel it pulling a bit about 3 quarters of the way through running 3km, though not enough to feel any pain. I think if I keep it at about 6km a week for the next 2-3 months I should be okay. It's frustrating because after playing and exercising with the injury for about 6 months I finally had to bow out as not to sustain any serious damage. I've been pretty much non-existent as far as cardio since the injury. I know that exercise is not a substitute for proper nutrition and my diet is hardly proper but since I stopped playing a lot of sports and running 4 days a week the pounds have started to creep up...Health Question & Answer

in kickboxing i recovered from a pulled groin muscle in all of about 6 weeks. the key is the straddle split.

stand in a split position with your legs as far apart as you can for 3 sets of 30 seconds and turn to each side (rotating the toe toward the ceiling so as to put the weight on the back of the heel of that foot).

what this does is make the muscle heal in the stretched/pulled position and strengthen it.Health Question & Answer

if you don't eat right and you exercise a lot, you could get sick. try to limit your sports not by how far you think you can go, but by how far you know you can go. plus, you shouldn't try to hard to keep off the pounds. you can get really sick if you are not the size your surposed to be.Health Question & Answer

you are going to have to cut way down on your food intake until you can move around some more
