I developed bursitis of both my hips left was worse than right. It could also be your RA. You need to see your Rheumatologist for this one.Health Question & Answer

See your health care provider as soon as possible.
Although bursitis most often affects the shoulder, bursitis of the hip is also quite common. Knees and elbows are also vulnerable. At all those joints, tiny sacs called bursae becomes inflamed, often because of injury or overuse, the joint aches. Standard treatment consists of rest and oral anti-inflammatory medication such as naproxen ( Aleve, Naprosyn). Sometimes injections of a corticosteroid drug directly into the bursa can be helpful. The inflammation and pain usually pass with time but can recur. In rare instances, surgery may be necessary.
Though some people who have arthritis-mainly rheumatoid-claim they experience adverse reaction to one food or another, such associations are uncommon. In one of the few reliable studies, 52 of the 159 participants claimed that food aggravated their arthritis. A subsequent review of the available evidence concluded that food induced flare-up were rare or at most occasional. If you believe that you have such a food reaction, see your rheumatologist. And good luck.Health Question & Answer
