You have to remember you are fighting an addiction like heroin, or alcohol. How many times have you heard people slag of drug addicts.? Well now you lknow why they just don't stop.Health Question & Answer

If you don't use patches the nicotine leaves your system after 3 days. As you are using patches it will stay in your system until you stop but the cravings will be less. Far more difficult than the physical cravings is the habit and association of smoking. I stopped 5 months ago, it's probably only in the last 6 weeks that I hardly ever think about smoking. It got easier after the first month.
Stick with it though, I smoked for over 20 years and cannot describe how much better I feel now I've stopped.
Good luck xxHealth Question & Answer

i gave up about 2 months ago after smoking 20 a day for 7 years. I tried patches but had to stop using them as they made my arm and kidneys ache (don't know why).

I thought about having a cigarette every day for about 4 weeks, probably until i got out of the routine of having a one at the same times every day (when i got up, after meals, when i got home from work etc.)

Just persevere with giving up and try to look at the positives as you go, such as being able to run without coughing your lungs up, not smelling like an ashtray etc. etc.

Trust me, once you no longer want to smoke, you'll be guessing why you never gave up ages agoHealth Question & Answer

it takes time if you think about it.., everyone is different. Think positive and just remember if you just have one, what is the point, your ment to be not smoking. To occupy yourself just join the gym or something. And remember you can calculate how many cigarettes you smoke a month and how much money your savingHealth Question & Answer

I cant help you with your question i'm afraid, but i just wanted to give you some encouragement and say well done! Keep up the good work and once the first few days are over, it gets easier!Health Question & Answer
