Sciatica and muscle relaxers?!

Question: Sciatica and muscle relaxers.?

My doctor told me I have sciatica and it hurts like a beotch obviously, and she prescribed me skelaxin (a muscle relaxer) and it's been about two hours and NOTHING. I'm still in the same amount of pain and I can't move or bend down...what should I do.?

Anyone ever had the same issue.? How did you treat your sciatica.?Health Question & Answer

I have taken Skelaxin for my severe back pain as well and received the same results of nothing! Tell your doctor it is not working and try something else. I too have symptoms of sciatica in my legs due to a fractured vertebrea and I am looking into what else I can do for the pain. I have tried ice pack and hot pack, that seems to help the achy feeling in the legs, maybe try that in the mean time. Good luck!Health Question & Answer
