They are doing something!
The hospital is keeping her under observation to make sure the coin works it's way down to her tummy, once it is in her stomach they will let her home to wait for nature to take its course.

Health Question & Answer

Not sure what your taxes have to do with it, but if the coin is stuck in her throat but not obstructing her breathing, there isn't anything they can do. Gravity will kick in and it will get to her stomach and can go home, but they have to watch her in case it starts to obstruct her breathing.

Have they taken an X-Ray to make sure it isn't in her gut yet.? Health Question & Answer

I think you'll find that if she can breathe and drink she'll be fine...only when she has trouble breathing should you worry.Otherwise complain to the doctor in the Emergency department you have taken her to.Health Question & Answer

its better than cutting her open there just letting nature take it's course while keeping an eye on her in case there are any problemHealth Question & Answer
