Question: Bug Bite: please help identify!.?
i woke up this morning with a very painful bite on my inner thigh. it's about the size of a nickel. It's quite inflamed, and not flat, it's raised. It doesn't itch at all, but it is sore to the touch.

May not be a bite at all, but a small abscess. Many people who develop MRSA think they had a spider bite, but in fact there was no spider--it was a skin abscess. Put hot compresses on it & an antibiotic ointment. If it continues to get worse in 24 hours (or very very worse over a few hours) seek the ER for help.Health Question & Answer
Could be a spider bite. I had one when I was younger. I would suggest going to the doctor ASAP to get it checked out. The spider could have been of the venomous variety of you could be having an allergic reaction to the bite as I did.Health Question & Answer
Could be an ant bite.. they are sometimes real nasty ones
