Only one hand is cold... why?!

Question: Only one hand is cold... why.?
Ok so quite often my hand gets cold. But only my right hand. Like my left hand stays completely warm. Why does this happen.? Is it linked to bad circulation or something.?Health Question & Answer

Poor circulation I'd say - see your doctor if you're worried about it - that's what they're for!Health Question & Answer

This is caused by the restriction of the blood supply to the extremities, i.e. circulation problems. The blood supply to your right hand is not as good, are you left handed perhaps and that is why the blood supply to your left hand is better. Hands and feet can be affected and the condition can be very painful especially in colder weather.

There are many causes for circulaton problems and you may need to discuss your problems with the doctor.

There is this website:

Your spot on... it's related to circulation and for some reason your right side isn't getting the proper blood flow. You should get it checked out by a GP doctor. If they can't help... you might want to try chiropractic care if you have had an injury on your right side of your body in the past. Try the chiropractor if you had your injury from the head down to the center of your back. The time frame of the injury can be something from as far back as your childhood.Health Question & Answer

Interesting Question.

When My hands start to fall below temperature, I often have them in My Pockets...but If you are carrying bags, or objects, it is often inconvinient, so I will swap over every now and again.

There may be a number of reasons...Perhaps it is more sensitive due to what you were previously holding in it.Health Question & Answer

it is your circulation, not sure what you can do about it though. I remember my dad, ( he has died now) used to say feel my hands... one was always really warm and the other one was cool!!

PS he died of old age, nothing related to his circulation, just so you don't start worrying!!Health Question & Answer

I went to see my GP on Monday about exactly the same thing (same hand too) - been told it is a circulation problem. I would suggest that you go and see your Doc though just to make sure.

Do you also have cold feet.?Health Question & Answer

My first guess would be that there is something that is causing decreased circulation in that one hand. Did you ever have a serious injury to that hand.? Health Question & Answer

It is to do with circulation, but it also has a name... white finger...Ask your doctor....i am afraid to say it is not curable. All you can do is wear gloves.Health Question & Answer

it will be a circulation thing. Go to the doc's and see what they have to say about it........it'll stop you worrying.
