I have united health care insurance. I'm having trouble finding the right physician?!

Question: I have united health care insurance. I'm having trouble finding the right physician.?
I suck at navigating stuff and I'm having a problem at myuhc.com, trying to search for a physician. I need to check up on pregnancy because I am about a month or two pregnant and just recently found out. I am also very sick with a bad cold (was a fever last night, but it went away). Should I see a family physician or....? I'm confused. I rarely go to the doctors because in the past I had no insurance but now I finally do (yes!). Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Goto https://www.myuhc.com/.
1. On top right under Links and Tools, you'll see Find Physician or Facility. Click on it.

2. Now it will show "Select a search type". Click on Search for a Physician. And click Continue.

3. Now on next page.
1. Select a searchtype - Click Search for a Physician by Name, Location and/or Specialty
2. Select a Plan - Select your plan
4. If you want to specify your address to search in a nearby location, choose the 4th option. "Change Search Location". And put your address there. Now click Continue.

4. Now you'll be on Select a Specialty. Scroll and check "Obstetrics and Gynecology". Make sure other options are not checked.

Now finally it will show you the list of physicians.
You'll be able to save this to a PDF using "Create PDF results" link that you see above the box of results.

Hope it helps. If not, you can call UHC and they should be able to help you find the right physician. You should consult a Ob/Gyn. As the early few months are important for fetus formation by taking prenatal multi-vitamins etc., which doctor will prescribe you. And they will be monitoring your health + fetus growth etc.,

Goodluck...

Call the 800 line and ask them directly. I would go to your OBGYN if you haven't been to one yet. just because of meds used in early pregnancy and they would need to see you sooner rather than later.Health Question & Answer
