Question: Autopsy / coroner Question !!!.?
I am surgical tech and currently searching for work. In order to broaden my horizons I thought " If I can assist in surgery during a trauma situation on people who are alive, why not being able to assist on people who have already passed.? " Is this thought feasible .?.?Health Question & Answer

If you go to a hospital, you can ask the pathologist (s) if it would be possible for you to assist at an autopsy. usually, we do autopsies at the hospital for medical reasons (not for medico-legal stuff). its usually very interesting and you can learn a lot about the human body that way. if you are already a resident in some hospital, it could be easy done cause you could go in groups (with other residents).
anyway, just ask, worst answer you could have it a no, but what do you got to lose.? but remember that not all hospital have autopsies everyday. (in my hospital's case, we had an autopsies in mid-september, and we are having one tomorrow (mid-november).Health Question & Answer
