Question: What does it mean when your poop is green.?
Answers:
Once in a while, it just means there was a normal bacteria somewhere in a food you ate that made it green. Don't worry too much about it unless it continues.

Healthy people can have green poop if they eat a diet rich in leafy green vegetables, or if they consume large quantities of food coloring (in ice cream, cake frosting etc.).
Green poop can also be caused by excess iron in the diet, from dietary supplements, for example. If the body does not absorb all the iron consumed, the iron may stain the poop green, the color of iron (II) salts. Ordinarily, the green color may be masked by the normal brown poop color, but if digestion is thrown off by illness so that bilirubin is less concentrated in the intestine, the green color may become apparent. This can happen when a person is afflicted with diarrhea.
Green poop in sick babies may come from iron in baby formula not being properly absorbed, or by green pigments in bile salts (again, green from iron).Health Question & Answer

It can mean you've eaten lots of green food - spinach as someone else suggested.

I once took Chinese Chollera capsules and that resulted in a scary green experience.

It can also be the end result of a few days of a violent upset stomach, your body is eliminating the bile that normally you don't get to see as it's mixed with everything else.

Your question reminded me of a dog i had as a child - she used to eat the raw-hide chews - but one day we changed her onto those coloured ones... within a couple of hours - she produced a bright orange 'dump' !

We laughed for days - needless to say - we changed her back to the other chews !Health Question & Answer
