Over the past year I have noticed that after consuming beer I awake with a very bad sinus headache? Help!?!

Question: Over the past year I have noticed that after consuming beer I awake with a very bad sinus headache.? Help!.?
I usually buy whatever is on sale at the market. Perhaps I should be drinking and 'all natural' beer.? I have been to the doctor for my sinus issues and was prescribed antibiotics, which did not help. I also had a CT scan of my sinuses that produced normal results. The headaches range from mild to debilitating and I can feel the pressure loosen and the day goes on. I could drink like a fish a year ago without this problem. Help me!Health Question & Answer

You could be allergic to brewers yeast, sulphites or some other type of ingredient. I get extreme joint pain after drinking beer and after eating some baked foods. I haven't figured out if its the yeast, barley, hops, sulphites or something else. Health Question & Answer

Alcohol will dehydrate you. That's why old school hangover remedies include soup (mostly water) and if you ask a drinker ways to avoid a hangover they'll tell you the best is to drink plenty of water/fluids before you even go to bed... But, be careful, those toilet dreams will fool you and you'll end up with a wet bed. ;o)

Your head feels like this because you are dehydrated. Just slow down on the alcohol (it ages you anyway) and get plenty of water, tea and juice when you do go out drinking.Health Question & Answer

I have the same problem. It does not matter if I have 1 beer or 10 or what brand it is. It does not happen if i drink hard liquor. I figured I was allergic to something in the beer. Maybe the hops.? I take Tylenol allergy sinus headache the next day and that usually works.Health Question & Answer

It's a hangover, which is closely related to a migraine. As others here have said, you need to drink a lot of water when you're drinking alcohol. If you don't get dehydrated, then you won't get the headache.Health Question & Answer
