I can't figure out how to characterize what I'm sick with?!
Question: I can't figure out how to characterize what I'm sick with.?
I used the self diagnosis tool on WebMD.com, but the didn't have all the symptoms.
Chest pain- primarily in the left, slightly towards the center, and rarely on the right (not in breasts, above them, but below collar bone)
low temperature- 96.4 degrees F
headaches- (I do normally get headaches when there's a weather front) but these have been constant for about a week.
trouble sleeping- I'm exhausted, but can't nap, and I stay up later than I ever have and then have trouble falling asleep, and then wake up a couple times in the middle of the night.
nausea- especially after eating
All I got from WebMD.com was that it could be pleurisy or pericarditis, which are both nonserious and I don't need to go to the doctor for, and another site says it has characteristics of a chest infection. WebMD also suggested it may be generalized anxiety disorder, but I don't think that explains the chest pain.
The pain eases when I rub it, but it's still very sharp and painful.
Any suggestions.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes, it could be either pleurisy or pericarditis, both of which ARE serious conditions, in some cases. Especially pericarditis. Pericarditis may be acute or chronic. It may be completely cured or may recur. Pericarditis is a progressive disease which can be life-threatening if not treated in a timely manner. Pericarditis is inflammation of the pericardium and an increase in volume of the pericardial fluid.
The pericardium is a sac of tough fibrous tissue that envelops the HEART and the roots of the blood vessels which enter and leave the heart.
Pleurisy, if left untreated, can also lead to complications, such as pneumonia.
You should see a physician. Your life may depend on it.

Health Question & Answer
You blood pressure is perfect. Lots of people have a 96 body temp including me. Anorexics have low body temperatures. I know when I lost a lot of weight, my body temp dropped to under 95 and stayed at that level for years. I eat more food now and can bring it up to 97. If you are low in iron, your body temp can also be low. Low iron can also make you anxious as can food allergies. Health Question & Answer
It sounds like anxiety to me too.
For one thing your temperature hardly qualifies as low; you don't even need to think of that as a symptom.
Muscle tension and pain are associated with anxiety, so that seems to explain the chest pain.
