What was the most painful thing you ever experienced?!

Question: What was the most painful thing you ever experienced.?
Well for me it would have been a cramp. It hurt so bad i was just rolling around.

I've also ripped cartilage off of my hip but i was high on adrenaline so i don't think i felt the full extent of the pain. (football game)

Let's here your stories!Health Question & Answer

The most painful thing I've ever experienced was seeing my daughter in the trauma unit after she was ejected from a car. Something no parent should ever have to go through. Broken neck, severe skull fractures, broken pelvis, broken & separated ribs, torn spleen, damage to her aorta, knee damage, nerve damage in her arm, gash over her eye, severe road rash etc.Health Question & Answer

I had a severed nerve in my hand which initially felt like an electric shock, it didn't hurt so much at the time. But subsequently I had to endure a surgeon assessing the damage, so he was poking and prodding it, I then had to have local anaesthetic as they attempted to stitch it back up, the only problem was the doses weren't high enough so I could feel most of it and I had to have over a dozen stinging injections around the site of trauma. It was so painful having a raw nerve exposed like that! I can tell you!Health Question & Answer

Well let's see... Right now I have a completely severed acl and torn meniscus (that would be the cartilage in the knee). Tore both playing rugby. But that didn't hurt anywhere near as much as my prior injury.

I was subbed in for the last five minutes of the game just so that I'd be warmed up to play in the second game and I got the ball almost immediately and started to run up field. Though I had gotten past one girl and I guess either I hadn't or someone else magically appeared because someone grabbed me and whipped me around in a tackle. The problem was, I really didn't want to get tackled (obviously) so I dug my foot into the ground pretty good and, well, her momentum put a lot more force on my leg than it could handle.

The good part was, I didn't dislocate my ankle. The bad part, my body and upper leg began twisting all the way around and my foot and lower leg didn't. My upper leg got to about 90 degrees different from my lower leg before my foot finally came out of the ground. By the time I got to the ground the leg had snapped (I do mean snapped) back into place, but my kneecap was still vacationing. My kneecap was dislocated and sitting on the side of my knee. Unfortunately nobody would touch my knee for five hours because they were afraid I'd broken something too.

I was out for months because of that, and then I had to clean out the post injury mental stuff up before I was playing like I had before the injury. Played one game the season I came back. Next season I tear my acl in practice, don't realize it, continue to practice on it, and play 3/4 of a game on it before I realize there's something actually wrong with my knee (I thought all the issues were residual of the first injury so I ignored them). Now I'm out for two seasons (fall and spring since I can't get surgery until December)Health Question & Answer

Well I could say having my babies (I had four) was bad but breaking my leg was worse. I broke it right above the ankle. I didn't go to the doctor right away. By morning my leg and foot were purple. I cried like a baby all night long the first night! Later that week when I was laid up in bed my dear little daughter who was five at the time and not really very compassionate came up and kicked me in my casted leg because she was mad at me for getting hurt and told me I was faking. That really hurt too. Worse than having a baby. Hope I never break any bones again as long as I live! Health Question & Answer

Breaking my hand. The bone broke and slipped under the other one, so it was rubbing against it. Holy crap. I was chewing on pain killers all the way to the hospital. And i had to have an operation on it. Worst day ever.

Or. My brother closed the metal french sliding doors in our house on my fingers. and it ripped the skin off my index and my middle. I was six and screaming when i realised what happened.

Or. My shoulder blade slipping out of place and pushing into my neck. oh my god. I was balling my eyes out and i was 15.

Hahaa, i should be wrapped in bubble wrap. I'm so accident prone. : ]Health Question & Answer

Central spinal back pain & nerve/muscle spasms are the worst thing on the planet, even giving birth comes nowhere close (so I'm told)! They cripple me for days!

But the accident where I cut through my thumb with a Jigsaw was pretty painful and spilled lots of blood! What a plongker I was!
