Is this right or ............................!

Question: Is this right or ..............................
Answers:
It's another, it all depends, situations.
If the patient is likely to recover without any recurring problems, then they may prefer not to worry their unnecessarily in the early stages of their treatment, particularly if parents are frail.
Don't forget that it may be desirable for family members to be involved with the aftercare so will need to know about the condition and they could be hurt at what they feel is deliberate exclusion from their daughter's/son's life.
Personally, I would be inclined to play down any seriousness, if possible in the early stages of fuller diagnosis and treatment, e.g. "they think I have a heart murmur" rather than "I'm in full-blown heart failure".Health Question & Answer

I'm sure most people would tell their parents, but I'm equally sure there are some people who,for whatever reason, would rather keep quiet.
I have never been seriously ill enough to have had to go into hospital, but have often thought about this.I think now I an older I would tell my mother, but when I was younger I might have tried to keep it under wraps until I had been treated and come out of hospital.I suppose a lot depends on where you live and where your parents live, and what sort of relationship you have with them.Health Question & Answer

I think you should tell them, because (Dare i say it) If you were to die without your parents knowing, it would be an awful way for you to die and an even worse way for them to find out.Health Question & Answer

Yeah, you should.
They'd notice if you were in hospital anyway, and they wouldn't want you to die alone.Health Question & Answer

no, i'd tell my parents sure the hospital will call them anyways Health Question & Answer
