Horrible Stinging pain in abdomen?!

Question: Horrible Stinging pain in abdomen.?
What do gallstones feel like.?

I'm having what my doctors think is gallbladder attacks. I get a horrid stinging sharp pain under my right rib, extreme bloating and belching/passing wind, and nausea after eating. it makes it hard to breathe. Sometimes the whole area is sore of the touch...Is this something else.?.?.? I'm having a HIDA scan Thursday.

What kind of pain did you have.? Can you describe it for me.? And how did you get rid of it.?

My ultrasound showed no stones. The doctors think it might just not be working at all...

I too, Had gullstones and suffered greatly. The best way for me to explain my pain is....It was generally located under the middle of my breats and down. LIke above the belly button but before the breasts. I threw up everything I ate. Crackers, Bread, water I mean EVERYTHING! I would almost fear a kidney stone for you, based on the symptoms you are feeling. I know they say your kidney's hurt your back, and they may, But mine killed my front abdomen area! Make sure they check this too hun! And be in charge of your medical care, the doctors dont always know everything!Health Question & Answer

I was going to say it sounds like kidneys to me not gallbladder. If the medication you were given wasn't taken long enough it will only get worse. Get more Cipro but get 14 days worth this time. Take some cranberry extract pills and drink lots and lots of water to flush out bacteria. I'm going through the very same thing as you right now so demand 14 days Cipro. It does hurt like heck, ouch.
