Question: White spots on nails......?

Every now and then I get these little white spots on my nails and I need to know where they might come from. The remind of the little white spots elderly people get on their skin, I guess that's just come from old age. I'm only 23, I shouldnt be loosing pigmentation already! Someone help, please.......
