Could I have a little help?!

Question: Could I have a little help.?
I wil not, NOT, I mean like holy cow WILL NOT tell anyone that I've started my period. Not Mom, no one. Could someone maybe give me tip on how to like talk about it. Please don't say "It's normal, it's something that happens" because yes, I know it happens. I'm just not a very open person. Health Question & Answer

You don't have to talk about it unless you want to. I'm 48 and I don't really talk about it except to my close family, and then I only mention it so they know I don't feel good.
There's a girl at my job who tells EVERYONE when she's in her cycle. She also circles it on the calendar so everyone knows to leave her alone. She get P.M.S. (really grouchy).
But this girl is just a bit too open about it. It's really kind of embarrassing. It's just because she's always an attention hound.
If you want to tell your mom, just tell her "I have my "friend. You know, my "cycle" . And if you don't want to talk about it tell her not to tell anyone because it's a personal thing. You never have to tell anyone.
It's nobody's business.

if you have the resources to buy your own products than you don't have to tell anyone. a young teenager friend of of mine wouldn't tell her mom and she was using lots of folded up toilet paper and hiding the soiled paper in her closet- it was disgusting! you should be able to talk to your mom about it. just tell her you need feminine products and admit that it makes you uncomfortable to talk about it.Health Question & Answer

well you dotn have to tell anyone about it. I never did. Not like my mother would care anyways.

So either you save yoru allowance to get pads/tampons or you will need to ask them for money for, lets say nessesities. I think they will understand and just tell them that your a young lady now and you need to get some things.

I know it's embarassing but its all apart of growing up hunn.

best of luck and if you have any questions about "womanly" things let me know. Sometimes it's hard to talk to someone face to face about those sorts of things, and over the computer talking about it is better and easier.

I didn't want to tell my mom either! I waited until she went to work and called her. I still had to tell her ( I just bit the bullet-- 'I started, I need tampons.'), but at least I didn't have to make eye contact with her while saying it! And if your mom knows your private, she'll probably understand you're uncomfortable talking about it; mine did. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

You need to tell your mom but when you go to the store buy the pads and not the tampons because to start off with you need the pads.Health Question & Answer
