Question: Shins hurt after power walk..?
on monday night i did a 30min power walk and now today i can hardly walk my shins are so painful. are the 2 connected.? what can i do to ease the pain, ive taken some paracetamol.

yes, walking will hurt your shins if you don't stretch properly before and after your walk. Here's what I do to stretch them. Put your feet together, bend down and put your hands on your knees, and lift your toes off the ground one foot at a time, keeping the heels on the floor. Lift them as high as you can. Try this now, it will help stretch them out. Apply heat and rest for a few days they will get better. Next time stretch and your shins won't hurt so bad.Health Question & Answer
Too much too soon. Next time ease into it. Do some limbering exercises first. Slowly stretch the muscles. Maybe do 15 mins and increase by 5 minutes weekly.Health Question & Answer
They're right. Shin splints. Could get worse(compartment syndrome) if you don't seek professional help from a doctor or at the least a physical therapist.Health Question & Answer
