Question: When will my nail fall off and when will the pain go away.?
I got my nail jammed in between two windows like three days ago. It is black and blue all over, the nail is lifting, my thumb is really swollen. It hurt pretty bad. I dont car about how long untill it grows back, i want to know when the pain will be gone and i can fully function my thumb.Health Question & Answer

OUCH !!!! It's going to be pretty sore for a few days,,, do yourself a favor and go get a thumb splint or protector so you don't bang it on anything.
If you can find it at your local drug store there is a product called Hurricaine Gel,,, it's a pretty good numbing agent
Here is a link I'd at least look at before spending the money on a doctor unless you have insurance,, in that case you should have left before typing your question!! Good luck

If someone suggest you just drill or poke a hole in your nail to relieve the pressure I wouldn't do it,,, I let someone do it once and it got infected badly and then hurt even longer!!.Health Question & Answer
