I had my gall bladder removed last Sunday and still get considerable pain from it in my shoulders mainly when I breath deeply.. Is this common.? Will it ever stop.?Health Question & Answer

Yes. The pain is from the anesthesia. Gas builds up in your shoulder. It can be painful until all of the gas is released. I had pain in my right shoulder after an intestinal resection. Don't be alarmed my shoulder hurt for about a week. If the pain continues after 3 weeks I would consult a doctor.

Actually it's more likely that the pain meds have cause you to be "backed up" and the gas is building and causing the pain. Are you constipated.? Stop taking the pain meds if you still are or go back for a follow up.Health Question & Answer
Yes... me too with the gall bladder... its from the gas they fill you up with... walk a lot and try not to drink out of straws,Health Question & Answer
