Is it bad if my wound is lavender pink?!

Question: Is it bad if my wound is lavender pink.?
Say, hypothetically, that you cut yourself. Upper forearm area. Now... Under the skin, it is lavender pink, and the blood doesn't really show up at first, not a lot, anyways... just in little beads. Is this a particularly bad thing.? Would you need stitches.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It sounds like bruising. Purple-pink color under the skin around a cut...it's bruising.
If it's not bleeding, why would you need stitches.? Usually if a cut starts bleeding by bubbling blood or beads of blood it's shallow. You need stitches if the wound is very deep, gaping, or will not stop bleeding after you apply pressure.
If I were you, I would just wash it, put an antibacterial cream on it, and stick a bandage on it.Health Question & Answer

I am not a doc or nurse. But i have a sore area where it is that color. Most people think it is just healing. It usually gets worse hypothetically but means its getting better. If it gets to a point where it is puffy or looks actually purple it might be infected. Good luck and i hope it gets better!Health Question & Answer

well, that's depending of how big the cut is...
it should be normal, i think that's natural coagulation process of the blood.. just don't touch it too much or put any creams (except for those wound healing ones)...
hope that's it...Health Question & Answer

Doubt you need stitches. You probably just cut a blood vessel. Not really a big deal as long as you are not gushing blood everywhere. Health Question & Answer

maybe. if it was an azure marroon i would say definitelyHealth Question & Answer
