There are many different causes of headaches. I will list the main ones along with their symptoms. You will need to figure out which one best fits you.

Migraine- usually 1 sided, Pain behind one eye, sensitivity to light. Caused by vascular (blood vessel) issues. Brought on by eating rich foods, caffeine, chocolate, cheese, and stress.

Cluster- Headache comes on for 1-2 hours. Goes away, then returns throughout day. Usually will wake up in middle of night from pain. Will also have a runny nose and teary eyes with this HA(headache).

Muscular tension- HA in a band around the head..

Tension- Usually on the side of the head, but can be elsewhere.

Cervicogenic- Pain at the back of the head and upper neck. This is caused by misalignment of the neck and effects the musculature in the neck also. Will have different HA sensations when moving head.

Sinus- Usually deep, feels a lot of pressure

These are the main types- There are others, but they are not as common. Vision and food allergies are the two next biggest causes of headaches.

For treatment, I recommend a chiropractor. He is able to treat all of these. However, Cluster and sinus HA's do not respond to chiropractic as well as the other types of HA's.

In addition, I would not recommend the tylenol. Try Black Currant Seed Oil instead. It is a natural product that helps your body create a very strong natural anti-inflammatory. However, this will not work if you are taking tylenol or other Over the counter pain meds.

If the HA gets worse and you start to have visual problems, see you doctor immediately.

I wish you the best.Health Question & Answer

Hi,

First of all, you can get liver failure from taking to many tylenol, so I suggest that the pain is less harmful to you than your choice of a cure. I suggest that you stop taking tylenol, it could be your problem.

You might want to take 1 aspirin for a headache if you get another tonight, and seek medical evaluation if possible tomorrow.

Do you drink any soft drinks.? Even diet ones.? Do you eat foods that can give you a sugar rush.? Is there any history of diabetes in your family.? Just trying to bring up some history that might explain the headaches.

Some headaches can be caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain. Such as when you had to much alcohol to drink the night before. It can also be caused by a defective furnace. Do you have a carbon monoxide leak detector in your house.? Do you feel better when you are not at home, or sleep without a headache when visiting a friends house.?

Just thinking of things that could be wrong.

Read the bottle of tylenol, and see how many is the maximum number of pills you can take in one day. DO NOT Take more than 3 times that maximum number per week, or you could have kidney and liver problems as a result.

I googled Tylenol overdose and found the website below. I did not know that there is tylenol in Vicodin, and may have overdosed on that unknowingly. You should read the article attached below.Health Question & Answer
