Question: I think I cut too deep this time... retarded question though it is, please read on..?
retarded question though it is, please read on
(BY THE WAY, I'M NOT EMO, EMOS ARE WHINY LITTLE POSER BRATS AND EMO IS BULLSHIT. I REFUSE TO CONFORM)
anyway so... I cut myself earlier... (ignore that) and it started bleeding like hell... so i had no choice but to wrap it with this big bandage (i cut my leg) in order to stop blood getting all over everything. so anyway i felt stupid enough for covering a self-inflicted wound. it's nearly two hours since i cut it and removing the bandage it's still bleeding.
what should i do.? I mean i'm not too worried about it just because... well, i did it, so obviouisly i wasn't worried about getting hurt but how long can it bleed like this before stopping.

NOTE: PLEASE ACT AS IF I TRIPPED OVER A CRACK AND LANDED ON SOMETHING SHARP. I DO NOT WISH TO BE LECTURED ON HOW CUTTING'S BAD AND THE ONLY REASON I WAS HONEST ABOUT THIS IS BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE AN HONEST ANSWER. THANK YOU.

Get a gauze so that it won't stick to the cut, then use tape over it to kind of squeeze the skin back together if it's really deep (hard to explain but you get the idea..maybe), then just keep it taped like that for a while, don't get it wet, and re-bandage it maybe once a day until it is closed up enough for you to be able to clean it, then just treat it like a regular cut. Okay, listen - if the bleeding has not subsided by now, you may have cut deep enough through the layers of skin and deep into muscle, where you may need stitches - and will have to go to a clinic or the ER. If it is still bleeding, please do this. You likely need to get a tetanus shot too - just to be safe. There's a danger of getting tetanus when you get a deep cut - and tetanus can be a very dangerous.Health Question & Answer

It would depend on how deep it was, and if you took out any veins.
If you wrapped it tight and its not to long it should stop with pressure.
Don't wrap the leg tight. Just wrap it around and then apply pressure to the spot.
If its to long you might have to have stitches.Health Question & Answer

you need to put pressure on it. You can also try ice because it constricts the blood vessels and will slow bleeding. you might need stitches if these things don't help in the next 30 min or so. You can also try crazy glue. it's suppposed to work well and they even use it in some hospitals.Health Question & Answer

2 hours.? if youre on any kind of blood thinners, tell your parents and go to the hospital. (im assuming youre young). if not, pressure and fresh bandaging. oh, and quit falling on sharp things :)Health Question & Answer

Use the RICE method!
Rest. For most injuries, rest the area until the pain decreases. For simple sore muscles, however, gentle stretching will reduce stiffness more quickly. Hold the stretch for 30 to 60 seconds, then rest and repeat five to 10 times. Do this several times a day.

Ice. Ice is the most effective treatment for reducing inflammation, pain and swelling of injured muscles, joints and connective tissues
