Question: How to get rid of this ugly bruise.?
i slammed my thumb into a car door like idk...maybe 2 weeks ago and blood came out and its under the nail. so i was wondering how to get rid of the blood under my nail....its spead over half of the nail. its really ugly and it looks like ink or something on my nail so help please. also, if i cant get it out without pain will it stay there forever.? or will it maybe disappear ...Health Question & Answer

It's like a blood blister from bruising the nail bed & your fingernail is keeping it in instead of bleeding like if you had a cut & it just bled normally. It w/grow out as your nail grows. It's really nothing to worry about & w/be OK as soon as your nail grows past that point of the "bruise". You could just put some nail polish on it & if you choose the rite color, it won't show. The nail grows so it will probably push out the blood so it will not stay there and if you want to try to get rid of it quicker pull down the skin by the nail and run water on it.

Your nail will probably fall of try to avoid soaking it just let it dry out. If it does fall off it will only get more ugly before it gets better but nails grow quickly so i wouldnt stress on it too much. Good luck to ya!Health Question & Answer
