I keep hearing this ringing noise! help!?!

Question: I keep hearing this ringing noise! help!.?
Well it started 5 months ago, yeah it's been a really long time, but
i have this constant ringing noise in my left ear.. It hurts also..
I don't know what I possibly have done, I tried everything..
But has this ever happened to you.?.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
basically the ringing noise is called "Tinittus" there are several forms of this condition, people refer to them as "frequency changes", and they are spontaneous and do not last long. normally they are related to stomach problems.

Now if you have had this problem over 5 months, it could have a lot of causes, from inner ear infections, timpanic membrane problems, etc.

You should get an appointment with an otorynolaringoloyst ASAP.Health Question & Answer

Yipes! That's what I have too and it was diagnosed as tinitus. Came about because of listening to loud music and the tiny hairs in the inner ear canal don't respond the way they're suppose to.
Anyway, the short story is that it's not going to get any better (if it's tinitus). The only thing I've found to help at night when I go to bed at night is "white noise" such as a babbling brook, rain coming down and other such background noises. Without it you can literally go nuts!
Wish I could offer better hope for you....Health Question & Answer

If its been five months you should go to the doctor. it could be a sign of hearing loss, or it could just be something stupid they can fix like an infection. If it has not gone away yet it probally will not go away on its own. go to the dr =). The only thing I would suggest is a hot water bottle,, lay your ear on it, do not use headphones or your bluetooth, dont put cotton swabs in that ear or try to clean it any other way. try chewing gum and eating something with sugar. -Good luck-ear pain is no fun! if the dr. cant find anything then go to the dentist it could always be a tooth problem (the pain sometimes gets adverted).Health Question & Answer

Yes, it has happened to me right when I started to use my iPod again. I don't even listen to my music that loud, but I got ringing in my ears. I stopped using earphones, and the ringing stopped. This generation is going to have a lot of bad hearing problems when they are older. But what can I say, we love our iPods.Health Question & Answer

This happened to my mom.
If your ear feels in pain at all, it could be swelled up and it's trying to reduce the swelling.
Try cleaning your ears out with cu-tips.

You should go see a doctor and tell them about this, if anything this happens allot so they'll know what to do.

Hope it stops!Health Question & Answer

This actually means that your hearing is damaged. The nerve in your ear drum is trying to heal, which causes ringing in the ear, though it is silent.Health Question & Answer

This has happened to me before, however the ringing hit me from nowhere and it got so loud I passed out. SO I suggest you go see a doctour right away because it could be a sign of hearing loss.Health Question & Answer
