Is it a 24 hour bug? advice please?!

Question: Is it a 24 hour bug.? advice please.?
i put my 3 year old son to bed at 5pm last night as he seemed very tired. then later on at 8pm he woke up and was sweating alot and constantly being sick, so i made sure he was cleaned up and gave him 5mls of cal pol, he settled an hour later and this morning he seems alot more settled then last night. I haven't given him anything to eat as im worried he may be sick again, im just giving him plenty of fluids but no milk. If he does get any worse then il take him straight to the hospital but do u recon this may be a 24 hour bug he may have caught.? he has only just got over a nasty cough and cold but anymore advice on this and what will make him feel better.?

Answers:
it does sound like a 24 hour bug just keep an eye on his temp and your right try an keep him as hydrated as possible a little later on if he feelis like eating try him on a piece of dry toast. If his temp goes up or he cant stop throwing up dont hesitate in takin him to the doctor. But otherwise the best thing for him to do is sleep an lots of hugs an love from mum always does wonders.

If you provide more details, more people may be able to help.

If you are worried, take him to the doctor if you can. Don't worry if it turns out to be the 24hour bug, no-one will blame you for being cautious.

I'm glad you stopped the milk. Give him some vitamin C and stop the milk for good.
