It's normal mate.
The trick is to try and remember that this feeling is not permanent and will pass.
My past thoughts have run from suicide to completely bizzare and have even gone to repeatedly imagining murdering the person that I saw as the cause. I have even found myself crying uncontrollably, with no real reason.
As long as you can hold it together and not act on any of these feelings, you're fine - even if somewhat deprressed. It is only really acting on these feelings that takes us out of the acceptable realms of behaviour. I haven't killed myself (I'm sure you've worked that out) and haven't killed anyone else either, so no matter how miserable I sometimes feel, I know it's not that bad (to put into context though, my doc has suggested anti depressants, but I would rather just try and work through it).

Give yourself a break and try and keep in mind that this is just how you are feeling right now - it is not the rest of your life.

Lastly, despite your comments, I feel I must advice you to go to a doc, if you really feel at your wits end. Don't let it get so bad that you hurt yourself, or anyone else. It may not need any more than for you to be able to talk to someone.

Chin up.
Good luck.

yes. extremely different thoughts. I had the most thoughts of horrible things about myself and my past, I'd distort stories and things that I knew happend and make it look like it was really all against me. It was horrible. It still happens from time to time but I'm better than I was when I was at the peak of horrible thoughts. The worst part is that I don't know what caused this sudden change in me.

It is normal to feel like this when you are feeling under the weather. It can be mild and last a few days from PMS for example. Or it can last for weeks, months, or even years. This would be more depression related. And, yes you have it right, if it's something that is causing you to have harmful thoughts, to yourself or someone else then it's time to get help. :)Health Question & Answer

Suppressing your emotions is like trying to hold a big ball under water..it's still there...and comes up when you least expect.
Let the emotions out--energy doesn't dissipate so u have to work thru what is causing you angst and take the holes in your life and fill that energy with an alternative and more constructive energy..activity etc...

maybe do some art when you're feeling blue or writing or something so --when you look back at that sad time, you'll see something constructive was done with you processing the emotions...and not suppressing them.

Suppressed emotions can manifest into physical ailments...so be careful.Health Question & Answer

i learned in psyc that suppression of emotions is really harmful for your mental well being. if something is traumatic enough, some people develop dual personalities, one for how they feel about what happened the other for how they want people perceiveve themselves. your stresdefinitelyly does affect your thinking and your state of mind. i suggest hitting the gym for weights, really good stress relief and you have time to yourself to deal with things.Health Question & Answer

I would say that's pretty normal. sometimes when i get really sad or even really happy and try and hide it (or not) i start doing totally random stuff that i would usually never even think of doing. it's like my brain is functioning in a totally different way. so i wouldn't worry about it too much =]Health Question & Answer

If you get a bottle of fizzy drink and shake it the fizz increases but has nowhere to go, until you pull out the stopper! We are the same. By keeping it all inside is not good for anyone. Unload it, find a pal or someone to talk to even a stranger, it helps and that's a good start. You've made one already by putting it on here. Good luck pal, you'll be O.K.Health Question & Answer

It's very normal, but it's not supposed to happen... Sooo as you said. Go to a psychologist :P haha
But yes, it does happen, you just need to take care of it before it progresses into something worse such as split personality.Health Question & Answer
