Answers:
You already identified the source of your anxiety. You were sexually abused when you were younger. This means you had no control over an abusive situation in your past. Now something you value, your virginity is under your control, but you fear someone can snatch it away like the person who abused you before. It makes sense. So here is what you need to do.
1. as one of the other answers suggests, take some self defense courses for security and confidence
2. get some counseling from a professional about the abuse you have already suffered so that you don't continue to be a victim of that situation and live with the anxiety caused by it forever.
3. avoid dangerous situations that are more likely to lead to assaults.
Be a winner, not a victim. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

Great question! This fear is called Virginitiphobia, the fear of being raped. It's normal to have a phobia and people get them all the time. Here is a way to get rid of a phobia:

1. Analyze the fear. Can it harm you in anyway possible.? If it can in your problem, then imagine worst situations. (i.e: a relative dying, getting a divorce, etc.)

2. Look at what others are doing. For example, if your afraid of riding a rollercoaster, examine the age group riding it.

3. Confront whatever it is you're afraid of directly. In example, if it's a harmless basement spider, pick one up. But, in your case, I would not suggest this.

4. If your fear is truly dangerous, find a way to treat it. I wouldn't recommend doing previous step in this situation. Although, you can find some safety rules and put yourself in a condition where you can be safe even if the fear is in front of you.

5. Change the way you think and you change the way you act. You can control your thoughts. Since you're only able to consciously think about one thing at a time, only allow positive thoughts to go through your mind.

6. Deliberately program right thoughts into your head every single day. This is the best way to change the picture of fear into one of victory.

7. Realize the best defense from fear is a good offense. What you imagine is almost always worse than the truth. So many times the "truth" you see in your mind is only the truth as you believe it to be.

8. If you have some kind of phobia, like phobia of being in a crowded area, being alone, going to a place that you hate, a certain color, or anything that you know is harmless, just go to that place with a friend or go alone keeping in mind that nothing will happen(you know it). If it's some color or thing just touch it 'till you realize that nothing will happen. If it's a spider, go stand near it. You know that nothing will happen to you and its just the look that scares you.Health Question & Answer

Your previous experience with sexual abuse may have caused Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a condition that manifests itself in intrusive dreams and anxiety. You need to see a counselor/therapist to address these fears as they sound like they are interfering with your quality of life. Additionally, taking basic precautions such as not going out alone after dark or to questionable places will help to prevent any further assault. Further, keep your beverages within sight when out in public.Health Question & Answer
