Question: If i was feeling suicidal .?
and i got some horrible answers on here . then i killed myself . would my family then be able to sue those writers of the horrible answers when the police track them down .?Health Question & Answer

No, I don't think so. It should not need the threat of legal action to prevent people being so callous. Suicide and depression are serious subjects which I know a lot about, and I think people must be really sick if they give flippant or rude answers to people in distress.
I work as a church organist and have played at the funerals of two suicides in the past few months. If those who write rude comments on here could have seen the state of those people's families in the church, perhaps they would think again before posting.Health Question & Answer

If you are truly feeling suicidal then you should seek help even if it is to start by calling the suicide hotline.
This is not the place for people who have such depression and mental anguish that they are thinking of suicide and want to ask for help here.
Some people can be very harsh and no, I don't think that anyone would get into trouble if you went through with it but I have to tell you ONE thing after finding my best friend that I've known for 27yrs at her home, locked in her bedroom, and had OD'd on her own medications.
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem...
Even if that problem seems to last longer than you would like, things will and do change. You have to stick around long enough for change to happen and seek professional help.
Your family should know how you are feeling. Even if there is only one person you feel that you can talk to about this, you need to so that you can get help.
My friend who was so intent on ending her own life was grateful I found her. At the ER it took over 6 hours to just get her to be able to breathe on her own, they pumped her stomach, and she ended up in a "behavioral care unit" for 8 days. Had she been a minor, they could have kept her for many months.
After she was able to breathe on her own, the EMT told me that if I hadn't found her when I did, she would have most likely died within an hour from the time I found her.
Don't do this to the people that love you and care. Don't do this to yourself.
I had no idea she intended to harm herself and only by the grace of God did I get worried enough to go over to check on her which I had never done in all the years we had known each other.
You can't take it back once it's done and there is a life for you in this world with a purpose that you may not know yet.
