A question if I may; What is going on?!

Question: A question if I may; What is going on.?
One minute I'm happy, next thing you know I'm a mad stomping Hulk. I then start to cry a river of tears. What is going on.?.?.?.?.?.? I'm going crazy, and I think my friends are seeing a difference in me too. I went to the doctors and the meeting won't be until next Thursday. I have no idea why I'm getting all of these emotions. Nothing to my knowledge is triggering them. What is going on.?Health Question & Answer

Not sure how old you are, sometimes these things are "just" hormonal changes (especially in puberty, menopause, and other life-altering, stressful situations etc.). Hormones have an enormous effect on behaviour and are way too underestimated.

Once you see a medical professional, the grabs for psychopharma is rather quick (in my opinion). However, sometimes there really are underlying problems that need to be addressed, but as long as you're "functional" and not completly suicidal and homicial, I believe medication is dispensed to rapidly. Other means should be tried first (even psychotherapy) and medication should be the last resort (often times it's the first line of 'defense').

The reason is that the new pharmaceutical in the market today, take care of the apparent symptoms rather quickly, but underlying problems just remain unresolved. In my opinion, these medications have effects on the brain-development of young people, and perhaps in older patients as well.

Psychotherapy and exploring the mood swings and how to control them via cognition should be at least tried first (in my humble opinon). But if it turns out that there are severe personality traits, "character" defects, long-lasting problems, then medication may be the only solution for at least some relief...

also, stay away from any mind altering substances (that includes coffe, nicotene, alcoho and especially illegal substances) which will only mess up the brain's chemical balance even further (which is usually the main reason for these swings)Health Question & Answer

a number of things can do that.... stress, being tired/overtired, the weather like high air pressure etc can mess with your head and get you depressed, being bored(your mind wanders and you can feel pressure from emotions), drug side effects, and how you've been eating/your health, are all things you should considerHealth Question & Answer
